These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TimetableGen at timetablegen.com, including the homepage timetable builder, guides, templates, and related pages (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The Service
TimetableGen helps you build, customize, and export class or weekly timetables in your browser. Features may include design themes, PDF/PNG/Excel export, print layouts, share links, and planning guides. We may add, change, or remove features at any time without notice.
Eligibility and account
You may use the Service if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law. The current version does not require an account; timetable data is stored locally in your browser unless you contact us or future account features are introduced (which may have additional terms).
Acceptable use
You agree to use TimetableGen only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt unauthorized access, security testing without permission, or disruption of the Service
- Use automated scraping, bots, or bulk downloads that overload our servers
- Upload, transmit, or embed malware, spam, or illegal content
- Misrepresent affiliation with TimetableGen or impersonate others
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties
- Use the Service in a way that violates school, employer, or local regulations
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
Your content and exports
You retain ownership of the timetable information you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy of schedules you create and for how you use exports (PDF, PNG, Excel, print, or share URLs). Share links may expose encoded schedule data to anyone with the link—share only with people you trust.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content only as needed to operate the Service (for example rendering in your browser or generating exports on your device). We do not claim ownership of your timetables.
Intellectual property
The TimetableGen name, branding, site design, default templates, text on our pages, and underlying software are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute substantial parts of the Service without our written permission, except for personal use of exports you generate or as allowed by fair use.
Third-party fonts, icons, and libraries used on the site remain subject to their respective licenses.
Free service and changes
TimetableGen is currently offered without charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, sponsorship, or limits on usage in the future. We may modify or discontinue the Service temporarily or permanently; we are not liable for loss resulting from downtime or feature removal.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT TIMETABLES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT EXPORTS WILL MEET EVERY INSTITUTION’S FORMAT REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.
Planning tools are for convenience only. Always verify official class times, room assignments, and policies with your school or organization.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIMETABLEGEN AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR MISSED CLASSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ZERO IF THE SERVICE WAS FREE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless TimetableGen and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Third-party links and services
The site may reference external resources or load third-party scripts and fonts. We are not responsible for third-party websites, policies, or conduct. Your use of those services is at your own risk.
Privacy
Our collection and use of information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
General
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and TimetableGen regarding use of the Service.
